Jubilee Walks

In the autumn of 2003, members of the Marcham Society built and repaired bridges and installed gates and signs in order to open up 5 miles of permitted paths. These paths have been opened on land belonging to W. Cumber & Son (Theale) Ltd. We are grateful to them, the Trust for Oxfordshire's Environment, Innogy, The Vale of the White Horse District Council, Marcham Parish Council and other individual donors for making this project possible.

The Marcham Jubilee walks were formally opened on December 6th 2003.

There is a printed leaflet showing a full map of the paths and three self-guided walks which can be obtained from

  • Marcham Village Shop and Post Office, North Street, Marcham (Mon-Fri 07.30 - 18.00 / Sat-Sun 08.00 - 13.00)
